How About The Girls

HATG is a female empowerment programme dedicated to providing young girls with tailored work experience opportunities and one on one mentoring sessions prior.

We have a pool of women from all career paths who are matched with young girls who are interested in that particular industry. 

Before the work experience starts, there is a 5-8 week personal development session all girls take part in, to prepare them for the working world. 

We at HATG believe that female empowerment is the way forward. Women have the ability to revolutionise society and drive it to its complete success, but we have to start with ourselves first. 

There are so many successful women in the world who have excelled in their chosen field but remain uncelebrated because they keep their clothes on.

It's successful women like these who we aim to work with and introduce our girls to. So they are encouraged to work hard and work smart. 

We understand at HATG that sometimes life doesn't always afford people with the same opportunities. That's why we have a one on one mentoring session, which lasts between 5-8 weeks, in order to get girls prepared for a working environment, and also to hopefully place them on a path to their own success. 

This programme isn't designed to force everyone to become a Barrister or a Dr, it's more about finding your life's blue print. As our brother Martin Luther King famously said in his 1967 speech, 'If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music, sweep streets like Leontyne Price sings before the Metropolitan Opera. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well. If you can't be a pine at the top of the hill, be a shrub in the valley. Be the best little shrub on the side of the hill.'

There is nothing you can't achieve if you genuinely desire to do so. At HATG we aim to facilitate female elevation and support you throughout your journey to success.
