Anger Should Not Be Thrown Out On Any Human
It’s a common stereotype that ladies throw all the tantrums when they are angry more than guys do. I don’t know how true this is or if it is just another side talk. But if we ask the guys, (they won’t spare us), a lot of them would credit this statement and even sketch all the pictures that they saw ladies letting hell loose. And if you likely ask ladies, some may point the fingers back to the men.
Well, anger is an emotion, and everyone has an emotional default setting that is in-built right from the moment we came out of the factory. There is no point trying to say who throws it all out more, but it will be quite useful when we understand anger and what other things we can use our anger on.
Firstly, it shouldn’t be surprising to say anger should not be used on or thrown out on any human, which includes you. Hey! Slow up right there, don’t be mad at me yet. I know there are still a couple of people you want to throw a fist at, and maybe punch them in their face for being whatever they are. You are right, and you absolutely have a reason to. But you may have to change plans or find another way to punch them in the face without having to get seriously mad because this is more about you than them.
Have you ever seen or experienced an actual bomb explosion? The incident comes unannounced and it consumes just anything around. That is how an outburst of anger is, human lives are mostly endangered.
Apart from the people around you, you are the first victim of your anger. Especially when you have become its domain. There is a lot more that happens for every time you get angry. Once your body senses anger, it automatically enters a ‘fight or flight mode’. It is just like preparing for a war; every soldier is busy getting dressed or preparing the best weapons.
The brain shunts blood away from the gut and towards the muscles, in preparation for physical exertion. Heart rate, blood pressure and respiration increases, the body temperature rises, and the skin perspires. The mind is sharpened and focused, and stress hormones are released. This is not the kind of environment your body wants to be in all the time. This kind of environment is an invitation to headache, depression, high blood pressure, heart attack, and even skin problems such as eczema. It is just like pouring out a bucket of stagnant water, it won’t take long for mosquitoes to find their new home. I guess you also know it won’t take long for them to start spreading malaria parasite.
You can turn your anger into a productive one rather than a destructive one. It may not be easy, but you must try to let go. Understand that not everything is worth your anger. You deserve to be healthy and live longer. If you must be angry, let it be something that drives you to take a positive step to change that situation. If the situation does not look like this one, then take a chill pill and address that situation calmly. If you don’t trust yourself, take a walk and a short vacation away from the situation. Then, when you return, and feel you must still address it, then talk about it. Don’t raise your voice, and limit hand and body movements. Sometimes, you may not want to deal with your anger situation, but it is not the time to turn it inwards or self-harm. Anger is a bad make-up for a lady or just anyone, you don’t want to wear its fragrance or that badge of “stay away from me I am toxic!”
